Professor Vansant Shinde is a varsatile personality in the field of archaeology. He is an eminent archaeologist, academician and an international personality and authority on Indian archaeology. He has contributed immensely to archaeology for the past 40 years. Over the years he has strengthened Indian archaeology by guiding students from various institutes in India and abroad. These students are from different disciplines and specialize in different branches of archaeology.
