<note>Cassius Dio's Roman History is an important supplement to the Roman writers Tacitus and Suetonius for the period of empire-wide civil war after the death of Nero, but for 70-96 and the reigns of Vespasian, Titus, and Domitian it is the only narrative source. This is the first commentary on books 64-67 since 1752 and the first ever in English. There are six maps and all quotations in Greek and Latin are translated.</note>
