Chanakya Neeti is a compilation of the belief system of Kautilya, an Indian theorist, teacher, philosopher, economist and renowned mentor to Chandragupta between 350-275 BC. His role was foundational for the creation of the Mauryan Empire. He was one of the pioneers in the field of economics and political science in India and his work is acknowledged as an important precursor to classical economics. This text lays out his primary ideas first in Sanskrit, followed by the transliteration and translation in English for better comprehension.
