Summary, etc Coal preparation is the removal of undesirable material from the Run of Mine (ROM) coal using separation processes capable of distinguishing between the physical and surface characteristics of impurities and coal. It must be processed after coal has been mined. The coal burst goes to a plant where it is washed or possibly cleaned to remove contaminants. The cleaning removes impurities like rocks, ash, other substances and sulfur. Coal that is burnt in solid form can be used in a variety of preparation procedures. The easiest thing to do is to remove foreign material and to screen the size. A consistent product is achieved through the preparation of coal. The use of coal is the combustion of coal or possibly its conversion into solid, gaseous and liquid elements. The most important use of coal is by far in combustion, primarily to provide heat to the electricity plant boilers. In addition, techniques for gasifying and liquefying coal into fuels or possibly into feedstocks are well developed for the chemical industry. This book provides comprehensive information on the characteristics of the coal industry; an overview of the methods of extraction and processing of coal and also discusses the main concerns relating to mining and processing of coal. The book will be of immense value to engineers and professionals in the fields of energy, mining, mineral, geological and metallurgical engineering, as well as to geologists and professionals in earth sciences.
